1666: Amsterdam is a single-player, third-person, story-led action-adventure by Panache Digital Games. It launched in PC Early Access on August 25, 2026. Noa, the Collector, investigates Amsterdam by day and confronts demonic Originals at night, assisted by Aaron—a man displaced from 1999 into a cat's body.
Game facts at a glance
Panache Digital Games develops and publishes the game. Steam and Epic Games Store are the confirmed PC storefronts. Steam lists Windows support, full controller support, Steam Cloud, eleven interface languages, and English full audio. The current build is Early Access, so systems, requirements, districts, and story content may change before version 1.0.
Story and main characters
Noa Brooklyn appears publicly as an apothecary's apprentice, but she inherits Zaindaris knowledge and the duty of the Collector. The Zaindaris pass down a magic called Nux and task chosen women with reclaiming it from corrupted bearers known as the Originals. Aaron is a university teacher from 1999 who is thrown centuries backward and experiences 1666 through a cat's body.
How the day-night loop works
During the day, Noa explores neighborhoods, follows clues, and tries to learn an Original's identity and contract name. Public magic is possible but risky because the militia hunts suspected practitioners. Aaron can reach and perceive things Noa cannot. During the full-moon Esbat, an identified Original reveals its true form; Noa brings the spells, potions, artifacts, and knowledge gathered during the investigation into the night confrontation.
Early Access scope
Steam describes the launch build as the first piece of the game and estimates roughly fifteen hours of current content. Panache plans major updates that add districts, story, and Originals and gives an approximate one-year completion target while warning that the schedule cannot be predicted precisely. Treat both content length and timing as snapshots rather than promises.
Where this guide draws the line
No console version or console release date is confirmed. The official sources used here do not publish an actor list. Prices, review totals, balance, and technical performance can move quickly during Early Access, so pages about those topics separate dated reporting from fixed game facts.
